After years of discussion, convergence is now a reality.  The distinctions between businesses in the media, entertainment, communication and information technology sectors are disappearing.  New business models and partnership requirements are emerging that threaten the core business of traditional players in these sectors.  Social media, “second screen” interactivity, connected televisions and the spread of tablet computers all bring massive change.  20% of all TV sets worldwide can have a direct connection to the internet and over 60% of UK televisions are connected.
